Audition Process

Invited Calls & Open Calls

We are always looking for TALENTED, ENGAGING and FUN musicians to be a part of our Entertainment Team! Candidates may attend an INVITED CALL or OPEN CALL/LIVE AUDITION if they live within a 500 mile radius of an advertised audition location.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Advanced individual and ensemble musicianship
  • Ability to perform with tasteful support from harmonizers, loopers, and other similar effects
  • Ability to perform with high quality tracks composed of superior audio samples (Caribbean Ensembles, Latin Ensembles, and Oldies Duo only).
  • The ability to create engaging musical experiences by extending beyond a performer into an entertainer.
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.
  • English fluency as well as an understanding of North American culture and humor.

LIVE AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. PREPARE 12-15 minutes of musical performance that best showcases your musical abilities and personal entertainment style. In addition, those musicians applying for the positions of Rhythm Section (Bass, Drums, Guitar, and Keys), Horn Section (Saxophone, Trombone, and Trumpet), and Vocalists (Female and Male) will be asked to perform specific prepared materials which can be accessed HERE.
  2. REGISTER for your live audition by creating a Talent Profile with AuditionMagic.
    • If you are attending an Invited Call audition then a link to set up your AuditionMagic profile will be emailed to you with your audition invitation. After your profile is created an audition time will be confirmed and sent via email within 24-48 hours of the audition date.
    • If you are attending an Open Call audition then you will create your AuditionMagic profile on the day of the audition during registration.
  3. CALL TIME is 15 minutes before your scheduled audition time for all auditions. Open Call audition participants are also required to register during the designated registration time on the day of the audition. Open Call audition times are limited therefore it is recommended to arrive early to improve your chances of confirming your desired audition time.

WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR LIVE AUDITION
  • Drummers: Please bring your own cymbals to your live audition.
  • Guitarists/Bassists: Amps will be provided at the audition site.
  • Keyboardists: A professional keyboard and amp will be provided at the audition site.
  • All Other Positions: Please bring your instrument and all accessories that are necessary to perform in a live concert environment.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Most candidates will receive final response on the day of the audition however some candidates may be asked to submit additional materials after the live audition which may delay the final response time.

Online Auditions

We are always looking for TALENTED, ENGAGING and FUN musicians to be a part of our Entertainment Team! Candidates may apply for an ONLINE AUDITIONS anywhere at any time in lieu of attending an invited or open call live audition.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Advanced individual and ensemble musicianship.
  • Ability to perform with tasteful support from harmonizers, loopers, and other similar effects.
  • Ability to perform with high quality tracks composed of superior audio samples (Caribbean Ensembles, Latin Ensembles, and Oldies Duo only).
  • English fluency as well as an understanding of North American culture and humor.
  • The ability to create engaging musical experiences by extending beyond a performer into an entertainer.
  • Minimum age of 21 years old.

VIRTUAL AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. REVIEW the submission requirements for the position that most aligns with your talents.
  2. SUBMIT your application to the corresponding application for the position you are most interested in. If your application is approved then you will be invited to participate in a HireVue Virtual Audition. Due to current casting needs, not every application will be approved for a virtual audition.
  3. REGISTER your virtual audition by setting up your HireVue profile with the link that is included in your application approval email.
  4. PARTICIPATE in the brief digital interview at the start of your HireVue Virtual Audition.
  5. ROCK OUT!
WHAT TO HAVE FOR YOUR VIRTUAL AUDITION:
  • Your instrument and all accessories necessary to perform in a live concert environment.
  • A computer or an IOS/Android compatible mobile device with a webcam or front-facing camera.
  • A separate camera or video-recording capable mobile device (Rhythm Section and Horn Section applicants only).
  • YouTube, Vimeo or other online video sharing account.
  • A computer and printer or an iPad/tablet with a page turner (Rhythm Section and Horn Section applicants only).
  • OPTIONAL: An external speaker for track playback (Rhythm Section and Horn Section applicants only).
  • OPTIONAL: An external microphone for audio recording (Rhythm Section, Horn Section, and Vocalist applicants only).

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Please allow 2-4 weeks for a final response once your HireVue Virtual Audition and Interview are submitted. Please note that response times vary by position according to current casting needs.
