The Content Manager is an on-board position under the Entertainment Marketing and Revenue Department | Guest Shipboard Operations umbrella, reporting to the Fleet Traveling Content Manager. The on-board direct supervisor is the Entertainment Director. The Content Manager is the expert on Carnival Cruise Line branding standards and all its trademarks on board. They are responsible for ensuring that all areas are in alignment with the company’s marketing and communication strategy
RESPONSIBILITIES
Audit content to ensure that all follows licensing agreements, ADA requirements and that collateral adheres to Commerce Plan
Update content using SeaMS and InDesign to update the Carnival HUB app and guest facing collateral
Coordinate onboard signage placement and requests and look for ways to reduce clutter, cost and environmental impact
Organize the receipt and return of movie hard drives, create movie schedules and monitor the performance of theaters and lounges including IMAX and Carnival Seaside Theater
Manage and audit the broadcasting of sports networks, in-cabin TV content and special sporting events
Perform safety duties as part of the Command & Control team
Work on assigned projects as requested by the Fleet Content Managers or Entertainment Director
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree with a business, marketing or communications focus preferred. A combination of an Associate’s degree with relevant experience will be considered.
1 year minimum of applicable experience
Excellent writing and editing skills and how to communicate in a leadership and service environment
Must be detail-oriented and have a keen eye for aesthetics
Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Must be resourceful and have strong problem solving skills
Able to work independently with very little supervision
Must be open-minded with the ability to adapt to change
Intermediate to advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Scala software, Sitecore, Photoshop and InDesign are a plus but not required
Flexible to travel and move to different vessels as required for operational needs
Must be able to work a minimum of six consecutive months
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk or computer for extended periods of time and be able to move throughout the vessel to conduct audits
