Technical Project Manager

Carnival Corporation is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Audio, Video, Lighting, Control and Theatrical Automation projects across our fleet of world-class cruise ships.In this pivotal role, you will ensure that every AVLX project—from concept to installation—elevates our guests’ onboard experience. You’ll be responsible for coordinating technical solutions, maintaining budgets and timelines, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. 
Lighting Technician
The Light Technician is responsible for the safe and proper operation of the lighting, video, and special effects systems in the main theater during all shows and activities (includes full‐cast production shows, magic shows, variety shows, Welcome Aboard Show, Game Shows, lounge talks/presentations and more). They are also responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, repair of, and proper functioning of all entertainment conventional stage lighting as well as intelligent moving fixtures installed in various venues around the ship (main theater, aft lounge, Lido open deck, the night club, teen clubs, main atrium, etc).

Entertainment Technical Manager
The Entertainment Technical Manager manages the Entertainment Technology Department onboard a vessel within the Carnival Cruise Line fleet, providing leadership and guidance for the Entertainment Technicians and identifying the required areas of work; and is responsible for ensuring the performance of all duties.
Broadcast AV Technician
The Broadcast AV Technician must be able to operate, maintain and troubleshoot broadcast and AV systems. Target and acquire satellite reception for the purpose of broadcast television. They must also be able to ingest and schedule digital media for playback on internal broadcast television system/VOD servers. Set up and/or operate audio/video equipment including microphones, loudspeakers, video displays, projectors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, and related electronic equipment for special events including presentations and meetings. Perform troubleshooting and routine maintenance of the audio/video, broadcast/satellite equipment as well as in‐cabin television troubleshooting.  
Backstage Technician
The Backstage Technician is managing the stage area during all shows (includes full‐cast production shows, magic shows, variety shows, Welcome Aboard Show, Game Shows, etc.) overseeing the safe entrance/exits of all cast members, performers and running crew, as well as scenery movement and automated backdrops operated by the Automation Technician. She/he is the “eyes & ears” of the Automation and Lighting Technicians on the floor area, giving them clearance for any automation and pyrotechnics cues. The Backstage Technician also coordinates all six stage hands and the assigned fire patrol while running their show tracks, ensuring all shows run safely and effectively on stage. The Backstage Technician is also responsible for the cleaning & maintenance of all scenery and props, the safety and upkeep of all backstage areas, including but not limited to storage areas, lockers, etc.  
Automation Technician
The Automation Technician is the operator of the automated stage rigging system in the main theater (up to 32 axes of automation) for all shows and activities (includes full‐cast production shows, magic shows, variety shows, Welcome Aboard Show, Game Shows, lounge talks & presentations and more). She/he is also responsible for the cleaning & maintenance of the drops as well as assisting the Floor Technician with the maintenance and repair of the scenery and props.  
Audio Technician
The Audio Technician is responsible for the safe and proper operation of all the audio systems around the ship and in the main theater for all shows and activities (includes full‐cast production shows, magic shows, variety shows, Welcome Aboard Show, Game Shows, lounge talks & presentations and more). She/he is also responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and ensuring the proper functioning of all audio systems in the various venues around the ship.  
LES Technician
The LES Technician is responsible for the safe and proper operation of audio, lighting and video systems in the secondary lounges (including but not limited to Aft/Sub Lounge) for all shows and activities scheduled by Carnival Entertainment department (includes variety shows, Punch-liner Comedy Club and more). The LES Technician will also function as an emergency backup for the Audio and Lighting Technician and may from time to time be required to operate the audio or lights for the production shows in the main theater. She/he is also responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and ensuring the proper functioning of all audio, lighting and video systems in all secondary venues around the vessel.
Video Technician
The Entertainment Technical Video Technician’s primary role is to operate/maintain robotic (pan, tilt, zoom), handheld cameras and control room equipment to produce live video content to a series of display surfaces throughout the venue. Programming can range from fast-paced production shows to slower-paced activities such as morning shows. The role will be assigned to the production technical team in the Center Stage venue where productions shows are performed. Depending on the Video Technician track that is assigned, the individual may participate in technical duties during the production show that are outside of the A/V control room. Previous experience as Control Room operator is strongly recommended. The individual must be skilled in basic camera techniques; duties will also include filling other control room positions on a rotation, such as video switcher. The individual will have an eye for fine details and a determination to consistently turn over high quality work. The candidate must have a professional demeanor, and the ability to communicate effectively with fellow teammates and a willingness to lend a helping hand to multiple aspects of basic control room and theatrical technical production.
